Taj Mahal, Ruthie Foster, Corey Harris, Lil' Ed & the Blues Imperials, Henry Gray and Barbara Lynn headline this year's Crescent City Blues and BBQ Festival.
The free annual festival takes place in Lafayette Square Park on Oct. 16th and 17th and features two music stages, a crafts fair and "the best barbecue in the South."
You can get additional access to your favorite artists at the "Oral History Stage" where they will be interviewed about their lives, influences and music. The interviews will take place in the NORD Thearter in the ground floor of Gallier Hall – just across St. Charles Avenue from Lafayette Square.
You'll see established blues legends as well as the rising stars. Winners of the Voodoo Blues Challenge in the band and solo/duo performers categories will also perform at the event.
The Crescent City Blues and BBQ Festival runs from 10:30 a.m. to 8:15 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16th and from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 17th.
