The 2011 Greek Festival is May 27th – 29th at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in New Orleans.
This weekend May 27-29, the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral invites you to dance to Greek music, enjoy some Greek food (baklava, anyone?), and enter for a chance to win the door prize of $1,000 cash!
Maybe you'd rather focus more on the eating and let someone else do the dancing. No problem! The Hellenic Dancers have multiple performances throughout the weekend. On Sunday, you can even see the Little Dancers – the dance troupe comprised of the Greek School children.
Try some authentic cuisine like the gyro sandwich or spring lamb cooked on the rotisserie. If you're feeling more adventurous, check out a new addition to this year's menu: the goatburger! It's a "Hamburger, the Greek way!"
The Festival offers Cathedral tours, playgrounds and events for children, and live Greek music. If you're looking for something to do with your extended Memorial Day weekend, get your Greek on at the Greek Fest!
