Yes, the New Orleans Red Dress Run has come and gone, but we thought we'd share a couple of pictures from this past weekend anyway.
In case you missed it, the Red Dress Run is an annual event where participants eat, drink, run and, of course, wear red dresses. The run itself is about two miles long and doesn't take that long, but the event begins at 9:30 a.m. and doesn't officially end until that evening. Proceeds go to various charities, and the event is sponsered by the New Orleans Hash House Harriers, the self-proclaimed "drinking club with a running problem."
This year's run was a success, even if it did rain a little. The street cars were packed with guys and gals in red tutu's and prom attire. We felt slightly bad for the tourists in the French Quarter who chose to wore red that day, not knowing they would be mistaken for part of the group.
