Everybody in New Orleans knows that months with “R’s” in them have the best oysters, but, in February, the “R” stands for “Romance” as well. Here’s how some of the area’s finest hotels and restaurants are spicing up Valentine’s Day.
Maison Dupuy Valentine’s Night Package
Red roses and bonbons? Nice start. But why not step it up this year with a Valentine’s night escape at The Maison Dupuy, a romantic boutique hotel on the quieter side of the French Quarter. Not only are they offering an inspired meal at The Bistreaux (see below) but guests with reservations for Valentine’s dinner are invited to stay the night for just $179. The price includes four complimentary chocolate-covered strawberries, a bottle of house wine (white or red), and half-off parking. Reservations must be made by phone at 504-648-6220. Ask for the Valentine’s Day special.
