November 11, 2020 | New Orleans

Because Covid-19 rates haven’t been spiking here in the city, New Orleans has moved into Phase 3.3.

This means, bars and breweries can now offer indoor seating at 25% or 50 people and outdoor seating at 100% capacity or 50 people. Unfortunately for now, state rules still do not allow indoor live entertainment in bars, but outdoor entertainment is allowed with a permit. Alcoholic beverages shall only be served between the hours of 8 a.m. and 11 p.m.

The easing of restrictions also means gathering sizes have increased. Indoor venues can now have groups (including weddings) for up 100 guests while outdoor venues can now host up to 150 people.

Of course, all capacity maximums still require enough space for social distancing.

If we keep wearing masks, washing our hands, and practicing social distancing, we will get back to normal. (Of course, New Orleans has never really been normal. LOL.)
