The Audubon Aquarium of the Americas opened Memorial Day Weekend after an 8 month shutdown because of the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina. Hurricane Katrina Update

There is still lots of cleanup to do in the Katrina-affected neighborhoods, and many houses are not yet ready to live in. However, we can see people working in all affected neighborhoods; many of the homes have been gutted and will be rebuilt.
