What comes between Carnival season and festival season in New Orleans? The Four Seasons! An evening spent at Jersey Boys at Le Petit Theatre, is (yeah, we’re going to go there), “Oh, what a night!”

While all the actors held their own, the four leads were especially good — each given their moments to shine. Sebastian Rohn who plays Valli, is a joy to watch. His charisma leaps from the stage, sending goosebumps and joy throughout the audience. Go see this play just so you can say, “I saw him before he was a major star.”

The story, co-written by Rick Elice and Marshall Brickman, begins in the housing projects of 1950s’ New Jersey. It chronicles mob connections, prison time, bad debts and personal loss as we follow the band’s rise from bowling alley gigs to the big time. The group’s highs and lows are all here, punctuated by hilarious dialogue and hit songs by Bob Gaudio and Bob Crewe — “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry” “Walk Like a Man,” “Oh, What A Night,” “My Eyes Adored You,” “Dawn,” “Let’s Hang On,” “Bye Bye Baby,” “C’Mon Marianne,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” “Working My Way Back to You,” “Rag Doll,” “Who Loves You”…oh, what a catalogue!

The show runs until April 6th and then it’s bye, bye baby, good-bye. Don’t miss it.
