Boo at the Zoo : Enjoy a fun-filled Halloween event with your little ones at the Audubon Zoo! This annual extravaganza features a ghost train, haunted houses, trick-or-treat houses with candy and more for children 12 and under. The event is free with the price of admission.
BARKtoberfest: This canine costume contest is ridiculously cute! The event is at Canine Connection October 25 and 100 percent of the proceeds benefit the Louisiana SPCA. Registration is $5 with raffles, kids costume parades, rubber duck derby and more!
Krewe of Boo: The official Halloween parade of New Orleans rolls through the streets October 30 starting at 6:30 p.m. This can’t miss party features spooktacular floats crafted by the Mardi Gras float expert Brian Kern and company. The party doesn’t stop with the parade. The after party takes place at Mardi Gras World with live music, food, and drinks! Costumes are required for the after party.
Voodoo Music Experience: This three day festival is jammed packed with fun—with some of the biggest bands and hottest local acts taking the stage. The festival begins October 31 and continues throughout the weekend.
