“Throw me something, Monser!” Yep, our favorite Halloween parade is back. Krewe of Boo, New Orleans official Halloween parade, rolls through the Big Easy Thursday, October 30 with world class floats, the best marching bands in the city, and more!
This can’t miss event, which begins at 6:30 p.m., starts on Elysian Fields Avenue in Marigny and travels into the French Quarter on N. Peters Street. The parade takes a left on Canal to Dauphine Street and makes a U-turn where it travels Tchoupitoulas Street. From there, the parade turns right on Julia Street and heads back down Henderson Street to Mardi Gras World.
Krewe of Boo is supporting local businesses this year by throwing locally made goodies such as mini-pumpkins, Zapp’s Potato Chips, and New Orleans Roman Candy Taffy.
The spooktacular floats were designed and built by Kern Studios, a local known for their world-famous parade floats—including the most popular Mardi Gras parades.
After Party
Don’t forget: the haunted happiness continues with the official after party at Mardi Gras World. The party kicks off at 8 p.m. and continues until 2 a.m. with live music, food and booze.
Krewe members get in free, but it’s open to the public for $25 per person. Costumes are required.
