Shrimp & Petroleum Festival

This family-friendly festival is held every year over Labor Day weekend in Morgan City, LA. This small town is approximately an hour southwest of New Orleans, and we can assure you, it is well worth the drive! Boasting a full carnival every day of the festival, car show, 5K run, live music, shrimp boat parade, dance lessons, delicious food, arts & crafts show and so much more, this festival is sure to keep you entertained! It will be held September 1-5 and admission is FREE. Just be sure to bring money for rides, food and drink and any shopping. Enjoy!

Louisiana Seafood Festival

If there's anything in Louisiana that we are experts on….it's seafood! And we will prove it at the Louisiana Seafood Festival. Held in City Park September 2-4, this savory festival will feature food from many of Louisiana's top chefs and restaurants. And while you are munching on delicious seafood, enjoy live music from The Village People, Blood Sweat & Tears and Flow Tribe just to name a few of the talented acts that will be performing. Want to do some shopping? There will be an Art Village featuring unique apparel and gift items. And one of the best things about this festival is that proceeds go to support the Louisiana flood victims. We will see you there!

NOLA On Tap Beer Fest

Do you enjoy a nice cold brew? Well then the NOLA On Tap Beer Fest is for you! Featuring over 400 beer brands, from local to microbrews, this is the biggest beer festival in the region. It will be held in City Park on September 24th from 1-8pm. And what is a New Orleans festival without delicious food and live music? There will be food from many of the area's best vendors and live music throughout the day! And proceeds from this festival will support the Louisiana SPCA. We can guarantee you'll have great time!

Fried Chicken Festival

This year will mark the very first Fried Chicken Festival in New Orleans. And boy have we been waiting for it! It will be held in Lafayette Square in the Central Business District on September 25th. There will be live music all day, a "Best Fried Chicken" contest and tons of fun.  Bring the whole family and celebrate this classic Southern dish!

Bear Creek Bayou Music Festival

New Orleans will be bringing the funk at the inaugural Bear Creek Bayou.  This funky fest will be held September 30-October 1 at Mardi Gras World. The Flaming Lips are headlining and there will be many other top acts there like Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Lettuce and The Foundation of Funk. So get ready to get down and boogie! We will be!

Saints Games

Can I get a Who Dat??! Our beloved Saints have three home games during the month of September. They take on the Baltimore Ravens in their last preseason game on Thursday, September 1 at 7pm. Then their home opener against the Oakland Raiders is Sunday, September 11 at 12pm. And on September 26th, they take on their rivals, the Atlanta Falcons, on Monday Night Football. You do not want to miss out on a Saints game at the Superdome, and be sure and come early to Champions Square to pre-party before the game!

With so many exciting events, we can guarantee you won't be bored in New Orleans during September (as if one could ever be bored in New Orleans?)!
