Tomorrow is the 17th annual White Linen Night in the New Orleans Arts District! Galleries and museums all along Julia Street and throughout the Arts/Warehouse District will open their doors to the public, offering local cuisine and cocktails while you browse artwork in your airiest white linen garb.

New Orleans Arts District galleries also host monthly Art Walks on the first Saturday of every month, giving visitors who won’t be here for White Linen night 12 chances a year to experience the fun and festivity of evening gallery viewings. Local museums join in as well, including the Contemporary Arts Center and National WWII Museum–once you’ve seen all the artwork, stop by a museum afterparty to continue mingling with other art lovers!

Two things to know and appreciate: First, enjoy discounted parking at Central Parking lots on Art Walk nights with this code from the New Orleans Arts District website: 10181210. And because this is a designated Louisiana Cultural District, there’s no sales tax charged on your purchase of original artwork! So browse, buy and enjoy your New Orleans artwork for years to come.
